Ted Talk: Harmless Poltergeist or Demonic Spirit?
In my Ted Talk, I analyzed the validity of paranormal activity and mediums/psychics from a Christian perspective. My main source was the Bible but I also looked at different pastors' opinions on this topic. In this day and age, there are an endless amount of movies, TV shows, and books about this. I think that it is important for people to be educated on the dangers of dabbling with things like Ouija boards or going to a psychic.

Abercrombie & Fitch Mini Project
For this project, I studied the brand Abercrombie & Fitch. Over the past few years, they have been the center of a lot of controversy surrounding their policies. I researched their failures like only wanting "cool" people to wear their clothes and also their successes like when their CEO Michael Jeffries decided to leave the company a few years ago. Since then, they have put together a new team of directors and improved the style of their clothing to be more inclusive of all types of people.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Job Study Mini Project
With this project, I put together a brief overview of the skills, challenges, job responsibilities, and education necessary to become a CRNA. I also did research on the debate between nurse anesthetists and anesthesiologists because they both virtually do the same job, one just goes through more schooling. Although the programs for CRNA's are intense, it seems to be worth it all in the end when you get to help patients feel better.

Holistic Medicine Project
With this project, I answered the driving question: How has holistic medicine evolved through the years, what does it entail, and why do so many people trust and rely on it? I researched the history of holistic medicine and all of the different techniques it consists of. In this day and age, more and more people have decided to turn towards natural ways of treating their ailments rather than through taking a pill. Personally, I believe this works and visit a Whole Health Center once a month where I have acupuncture and cupping done to improve my circulation, headaches, and hand and wrist pain. This project gave me the opportunity to interview my own acupuncturist as well as research why this type of treatment works.

The Past, Present, and Future of Anesthesiology (Capstone Project)
This is my capstone project that answers: How far has anesthesiology come through the years, what role does it play now during and after surgery, and what does the future hold for it? I was able to connect with an anesthesiologist and he read through all of my notes and gave me great feedback. Overall, I researched what drugs were used before anesthesia was available, what different types are available now, and the possible complications that can come with them. This led to learning how to safely administer the anesthetic and what happens to the body while it is anesthetized. I also researched the professions available in this line of study and how research will impact other medical fields and contribute to potential future advancements. I created a document as well as gave a presentation which are linked below.
